Privacy policy

Toyotsu Chemiplas Corporation (hereinafter “the Company”) understands that the proper handling and secure management of information supplied by you is a part of the Company’s social responsibility and is fundamental to building continued, solid relationships of trust with you.
To protect the personal information supplied by you, the Company will comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, other laws and ordinances related to protection of personal information, and obligations stipulated in the guidelines formulated by the relevant minister. In addition, it has laid down the basic policy set out below to endeavor to properly handle and protect personal information.

Ⅰ.The Proper Acquisition of Personal Information and Notification, Publication and Equivalents of Purposes of Use

The Company will specify the purposes of use of personal information (which refers to information that pertains to any living individual and from which any individual identifiable) to the fullest possible extent and acquire it in an appropriate manner.The Company will publish the purposes of use of personal information, or notify you of them before the personal information is acquired or as soon as it is acquired.However, when personal information is directly acquired from you in writing or the like, the Company will expressly provide the purposes of use in advance. (Actions of this kind are hereinafter “Notification, Publication or Equivalents.”)

Ⅱ.Use of Personal Information

The Company will use personal information within the scope of the purposes of use regarding which it has made a Notification, Publication or Equivalents to you.However, this will not apply if prior consent is obtained or if exceptional treatment pursuant to laws and ordinances applies.

Ⅲ.Offering of Personal Information to Third Parties

The Company will not disclose or offer to any third party your personal data (which refers to personal information constituting part of a personal information database or equivalent, which is defined in the cabinet order as a collective body of information including personal information that has been systematically organized by arranging personal information contained in the database according to certain rules that enables specified personal information to be readily searched for) without obtaining your prior consent.However, this will not apply in the cases mentioned below.

  • 1. The exceptional treatment is pursuant to any law or ordinance.
  • 2. The exceptional treatment is necessary for the protection of human life, health or property and it is difficult to obtain your consent.
  • 3. The exceptional treatment is particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the promotion of children’s healthy development and it is difficult to obtain your consent.
  • 4. It is necessary for the Company to cooperate with national or local governmental authorities or any party commissioned by them in carrying out the business stipulated by law or ordinance and an attempt to obtain your consent could cause problems in the implementation of the business.
  • 5.Your personal information is offered to contractors within the scope necessary for the implementation of the Company’s business.

Ⅳ.Joint Use with the Company’s Affiliates

The Company may jointly use your personal data with any of its affiliates and its parent company, Toyota Tsusho Corporation, within the scope of the purposes of use that it has made a Notification, Publication or Equivalents to you under the following conditions.

  • 1. Personal data items subject to joint use: Company name, organization, personal name, title or position, address, phone number and electronic mail address
  • 2. Entity responsible for management: Toyotsu Chemiplas Corporation

Ⅴ.Management of Personal Information

The Company will endeavor to keep personal data it handles accurate and up to date to the extent necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes of use. To prevent leakage, loss, destruction or unauthorized access, the Company will strive to implement necessary and appropriate measures, supervise its officers, employees and contractors and carry out proper management.

Ⅵ.Inquiries on Retained Personal Data

If you or your proxy request disclosure, notification of the purposes of use, correction, suspension of use or another action regarding your personal data retained by the Company (which refers to personal data which the Company has the authority to disclose, correct and otherwise process, and which shall be neither those prescribed by cabinet order as likely to harm the public or other interests if their presence or absence is made known nor those set to be deleted within a period of no longer than six months), the Company will check the identity of you or proxy that has submitted the request and then process the request within a reasonable scope in accordance with laws and ordinances.

Ⅶ.Use of Google Analytics

This website utilizes services offered by Google Analytics for the purpose of monitoring the state of use of this website.Google Analytics collects information on the trends of use of the website using cookies without identifying users. The information is subject to management in accordance with Google LLC’s privacy policy.For the terms and conditions of use of Google Analytics and its privacy policy, refer to Google LLC’s website.The Company will assume no liability whatsoever for any damages arising from the use of Google Analytics services.

Ⅷ.Handling of Complaints

The Company will take swift and appropriate actions regarding your complaints, if any, concerning the handling of your personal information and strive to improve its internal system for this purpose.

Toyotsu Chemiplas Corporation (hereinafter “the Company”) discloses the following in accordance with the provisions of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information. You are encouraged to read them.

Ⅰ.Purposes of Use of Personal Information Handled by the Company

The Company will use your personal information for the purposes specified below in the operations stated in The Company’s Businesses That Handle Your Personal Information below.

  • (1) Communications related to business
  • (2) Implementation of contracts, such as the offering of products and services
  • (3) Information and offering of products and service dealt with by the Company
  • (4) Information on seminars, exhibitions and other events organized by the Company
  • (5) Questionnaires and other surveys
  • (6) Response to inquiries and requests from you
  • (7) Any other particular purpose of use, if it is separately stated

    • 3. Natural products, agricultural, fishery and livestock products, food, drinks, alcohols, animal feed, fertilizers and their raw materials
    • 4. Different kind of containers (including mobile ones) and their raw materials
    • 5. Metals, non-ferrous metal products, machinery, machinery parts and their raw materials
    • 6. Equipment and devices related to transport and their parts, raw materials and other materials
    • 7. Building materials and their raw materials
    • 8. Business items (including health and cosmetic appliances), consumer items, daily necessities, nursing care items, medical equipment and tools and their raw materials
    • 9. Infrastructure facilities, facilities related environmental protection and their raw materials
  • (2) Product development, manufacturing, processing, guidance on manufacturing technologies, management and inspection of products mentioned in (1) as well as outsourcing and implementation on contract of the activities mentioned above
  • (3) Leasing and brokerage of movables
  • (4) Administrative processes including bookkeeping, cash receipts and disbursements and account settlement and financial accounting upon contract from businesses and organizations
  • (5) Sales, purchases and leasing of intellectual properties incidental or related to the items mentioned above
  • (6) Research, planning, development and consulting services incidental or related to the items mentioned above
  • (7) Any other business incidental or related to the items mentioned above

Ⅰ.To Submit a Request for Disclosure or Notification of Purposes of Use

Read the Notes below. Attach additional documents to the designated request form and affix postage stamps equivalent to the processing fee. Send them to the following address by the postal service.
Please note that no other section is able to process your request for disclosure or notification of purposes of use.

  • 1. Documents to be submitted
    Request Form for Disclosure of Personal Information* A single request form may include a maximum of three requests.
  • 2. Additional documents to be attached for your identification
    Attach any of the documents mentioned below.
    • a. A photocopy of your resident record, residence card or alien registration certificate
    • b. A photocopy of a certificate of matters relating to an individual in a family register concerning you
    • c. A photocopy of your driver’s license
    • d. A photocopy of your passport
  • 3. Additional documents for submitting a request by proxy
    Attach either a) or b) below as a supporting document for the power of representation and any of the documents specified in c) to f) below for the identification of the proxy.
    • a. Letter of proxy (affixed with registered seal)
    • b. Personal seal proof of the customer himself (subject of disclosure, etc.)
    • c. A photocopy of your resident record, residence card or alien registration certificate
    • d. A photocopy of a certificate of matters relating to an individual in a family register concerning you

  • 4. Processing fee necessary for the request
    Affix postage stamps equivalent to the processing fee specified below.822 yen for the request form (82 yen for ordinary postage, 430 yen for registered mail, and 310 yen for the certification of contents)
  • 5. Method of the Company’s response to the request
    The Company will send a response document to the address (included in the additional document) of the requesting person or his or her proxy in the case where the request is submitted by proxy by registered mail with the certification of contents.
  • 6. Cases where the Company is unable to make a disclosure or notification of purposes of use
    Please note that the Company may be unable to meet your request for the disclosure or notification of purposes of use in any of the cases below.
    • a. The information included in the form or in the additional documents is deficient.
    • b. The power of representation cannot be verified (in cases where the request is submitted by a proxy).
    • c. The decline of the request is pursuant to laws and ordinances.
    • d. The processing fee specified in (4) above is not paid.
  • 7. If the Company does not retain the personal information concerned with your request, the Company will state so in its reply.
